Connect with fun and purpose.
Our Intermediate ministry includes a mid-week Youth Group held on Thursday 5-7pm and our Sunday morning programme. The focus of these sessions is to connect young people with one another, to learn as we study the Bible together, and to help young people develop their skills and passions. Building strong and authentic relationships is at the centre of our approach.

Thursdays
RCC’s intermediate-aged Youth Group meets every Thursday (during term time) between 5.00-7.00pm at the Church hall. We enjoy a meal together, games and activities and spend time discussing God’s Word and principles for life.
-
Sundays
On a Sunday morning, we offer a programme specifically tailored to Years 7-8 that begins after the introductory part of the church service. We combine activities and games with Bible teaching and discussions that cater to the pre-teen life stage.

Intermediate Youth Band
For those intermediate aged young people who are passionate about getting involved in music, RCC has a Youth Band that practices regularly and performs at church at various times during the year. If you’re interested in being involved, speak to your Youth Leader to find out more.

Social Events and Camps
As part of our programme for Years 7-8, we offer two weekend social events per term and camps throughout the year. These are great for relationship-building and enjoying fun experiences together as a wider group.

In Our Local Schools
RYC also has a presence in a number of Intermediate schools in the area (including Wharenui Primary and Kirkwood Intermediate) through the 24/7 YouthWork programme. This provides yet another way in which we can get alongside young people in their school environment and provide support, encouragement and a listening ear.
