RCC Vision Statement

 Alan Aitken


Alan is from Christchurch and works as a consultant for charitable and community organisations. He has been involved with church and community groups for many years. His 16 years as a pastor included a range of youth, administrative, teaching and leadership roles. Married to Nicki with three children, Jeremy, Rachel and Melanie, he enjoys family life and visiting AMI Stadium.


James Sheat


 James was raised in Blenheim and moved to Christchurch for his university studies in 2009. He is a Mechanical Engineer and works in the aerospace industry. James enjoys the mountains and exploring the outdoors with his wife Grace and son Ezra.

James has a love for the local church and is excited to see RCC impacting Christchurch and the world. He loves to see people growing in their love for God and others.



Geoff Wallis


Geoff grew up in the North Island and moved to Christchurch in 2003. He is a primary school teacher and enjoys the outdoors and water sports. Geoff and his wife, Emma, have three fun-loving children - Madison, Levi and Asher. Geoff is passionate about our church vision and has a real heart for the Riccarton Community.



Phil Stedman



Christchurch has been Phil’s home for most of his life, with the exception of 5 years in Wellington working as a civil engineer and nearly 5 years in Sydney working in strategic and corporate planning. He and Catherine have three children (William, Luke and Isabelle). Whenever possible he loves to spend time in the mountains, either climbing, running or skiing

Bevan Burgess


Bevan and Suzy have three children - Michaela, Jakob and Samuel. Bevan works full time in the bicycle industry and enjoys running, cycling, playing board games and skiing. Suzy works as a preschool teacher part-time and is involved in the Mainly Music ministry. They have been involved in various roles during their 19years at RCC and currently lead a weekly life group.



Sonya Nuku


Sonya is married to Karl and has three beautiful girls, Billie, Neve and Piper.  She works part-time as a primary school teacher. Sonya has been part of RCC for about 20 years and has been involved in a variety of ministries during that time.
